Joy and Sorrow

Joy, yesterday marked the 26th week of Kim’s pregnancy with our first child. We call him/her Butterbug. We have been busy getting the babies room ready for its September birth. All the scans have been good and it is all going well. Kim is healthy and looking nicely pregnant. We can’t wait to meet this little person.

Here are some photos of the room and our little Butterbug.

Sorrow, yesterday also marked something. At approximately 3pm my Grandmother passed away, she was 84. I know she wanted to hold on to see our child be born, but it wasn’t to be. She is now with her husband, my Grandfather, who passed 4 years ago.

Colin, I’m so sorry to hear about your grandmother. 😦 It’s always hard when joy & sorrow mix so closely. With you grandmothers passing keep the positive thoughts alive and rejoice in new life coming into your world.

She is with your grandfather now and they will be smiling down on the little butterbug!

Oh Colin, our condolences to you, and your family, about your grandmother. May she rest in peace now.
On a lighter note i LOVE the babys bedroom. And his/her name ‘Butterball’ , very cute. It is amazing how much ‘stuff’ one baby needs.
Kim looks radient, a beautiful pregnant woman. (she hasnt changed ,in looks, from when i knew her in primary school, sooo many years ago.)
Im over the moon for you both.
    Susan

Thanks Jen. We are all trying to stay positive, but it isn’t easy. I guess time will help but I wish she could have met Butterbug in person. I know both my grandparents will be smiling down on him. 🙂

Thank you Susan, that means a lot. Kim is looking really good and the room is coming along nicely. I hope Butterbug likes it when he/she arrives. 🙂

I’m just now reading this post and adding my condolences.

Looks like your little ‘butterbug’ is already well-equipped with all the essentials AND VERY MUCH LOVED!
