I took this image in 2007 and then did nothing with it. Last month I was searching through my back catalog of images and came across this shot so I finally processed it. It was processed with Silver Efex Pro and then I did some final processing in Lightroom. I am glad that I never actually processed this image when I took it because I never would have made it look like this back then. My taste and processing has changed considerably over the last 8 years and I am glad it has.
Last Saturday I was sitting around feeling sorry for myself. I have some big decisions to make and they are causing me to mope at times. Saturday was one of those times. But then I had an idea, why not do a photo shoot with my son?
Instantly, I switched on and grabbed my camera. I chucked on the 50mm 1.8 and got my son to pose for me. We have some frosted glass windows in the rumpus and entrance that let in beautiful light. I had my son sit on a revolving seat (use to be the baby feeding chair) and started to play with him. Peek-a-boo was a winner, as was just spinning the chair. We both had a lot of fun and I got some stunning images. Here are some of those images from the session.
Once my son had had enough of his photo taken, I moved onto his mother. My lovely wife posed for me when I stopped her in the entrance.
Check out Cee’s Black & White Challenge! This week the subject is Animals. Have a look and play along as well.
I have been out of the blogging loop for some time now. The recent elections had me very busy printing various mailing material for both major parties. It was a very stressful time! Add to that my continuing medical problems for the year, I have found that there is very little time left over for my blog. I would like to keep the blog rolling along so I am trying to get back into a routine that will allow me some time for this. Time is always the hardest thing to come by. The family always comes first and sometimes that doesn’t leave any spare time for other pursuits.
This weeks Black and White Challenge is Abandoned or Alone. I had these images ready for a previous Black and White Challenge but never got to post them, so I am posting them for this challenge.
This week Sonel’s Black and White Weekly Photo Challenge is Doors and Windows. Be sure to check out the other interpretations for this weeks challenge and maybe play along yourself.
These windows and doors were taken in the UK during our honeymoon.
This weeks Black and White Challenge is Texture. Please have a look at Sonel’s blog and check out the other interpretations of the challenge. Perhaps you will play along as well?
I realise that this is a complete week late, but I was unavoidably detained during that period. Last week I found myself in hospital. I had these images ready to post, but I went in on the Tuesday so I didn’t get a chance to post them. regardless of all that I am posting them now. Please give Sonel’s blog a look and check out the other challenge entries.
